Article I. Purpose

The Press Club of Dallas, Inc. (hereinafter called “Club”) promotes the profession of journalism
and related fields through education, social and charitable initiatives.

This Club is not organized for financial gain or profit and no part of its net earnings shall inure to
the benefit of any director or individual member; no remuneration shall be given in connection
with the disposition of any membership; and no loans shall be made by the Club to its Directors
or Officers. No part of the activities of this Club shall include participation in any political
campaign, or endorsement, of any political candidate for public office. All objects shall be
exclusively accomplished within the geographical limits of the United States of America.
